This A Rare working ca.1912 #12 Eldred "wireless" Cigar Store Countertop Lighter. This is a Later reproduction. This one uses 3 D sized batteries that produce a spark through the coil inside. It uses Zippo or Ronson Liquid lighter fluid for fuel. The lighter stands approx. 15" tall and is very heavy with the batteries inside. This is a used working model of this type of cigar lighter. This is the 2nd one that I have on YOU TUBE and being sold on EBAY. This one is brass/gold colored as the other one is older and is nickle plated. Originally these were made by the Eldred MFG Co. of Chicago Illinois. They were a familiar sight in drug stores,taverns,hotels lobbies and tobacco shops. Eldred produced them from 1912-1920's ?. The cabinet to this item is wood and looks to be a medium walnut stain to it. To get to the batteries you need to remove the bottom access panel (JUST PULL). This item is going to be sold on Ebay... You really do not see these come up for sale alot and when you do find a used one, it usually is broken.... You are buying a working lighter... This will not come with batteries or fluid.. You can get D sized batteries at your local store along with lighter fluid.. This take ALOT of fluid so make sure to buy 2 containers of it.... Lighter shows a few bumps, bruises and scratches from being used and a vintage item... This is a great conversation piece and be among the few who actually own a working model. (newer ones cost between $$ 600-800 ).... I ship my items ...

Vintage Fram Advertising TIP TO LIGHT Cigarette Lighter and Ashtry.MPG
This a Rare set of Vintage Advertising item (Lighter and ash tray). These were given to mechanic shops and vendors to advertise the product being sold. This one is a FRAM (OIL FILTERS) set. It works great. You just TIP TO LIGHT. It works on regular Home AC current as you just plug it in to use. I am not sure how safe these were because if you knock it over or tip, it will light. I recommend after every use to unplug. Both item are used and show wear. They have dings, dents, scratches and minor paint loss. Both are in working order and would look great as a display item in a lighter collection. This item will be on Ebay. All of my items are sold AS-IS, so ask qustions before you purchase.
