Geico Auto Insurance Claim Runaround
Geico spends a fortune on entertaining ads, but their little lizard would quit if he knew how they refuse to pay legitimate claims. After three weeks of their absurd excuses, when I saw their ad showing a rear end collision and their prompt payment, it just lost it. So,I put my own words to their ad. In my case I was rear ended by one of their insured on slow highway traffic . The woman got out of her Ford ranger, appologized, saying "my insurance company will pay for it," as she gave me a copy of her insurance card, writing down phone and license number. Only then, she off handedly said she had been hit by a car behind her. Problem is absolutely no damage to her car, she never called the cops as he took off, and she showed no physical effect of a car slamming into her, ( State law requires 100% certainty car was "pushed" into car ahead for release from liability) Nevertheless, this story was good enough for Geico, as they are telling me no payment for my smashed car. Not only don't they care about my legitimate claim, but they don't care about their customer, who will have to appear in court to defend herself. Insurance fraud, when people who are hit as I was fabricate injury, causes rates to go up for everyone. Geico doesn't care that fighting someone who was straight with them, sends a message that to get fair treatment, you have to be prepared to build up case by any means. And unless you have injuries enough to attract a contingency lawyer, Geico will screw you over ...
